Why " The Pause"?

How long have you been telling yourself, "I'll slow down later?" Later keeps moving, right?

You may still be working, caring for others, answering messages and doing what needs to be done. From the outside, you may look as though you are managing. Inside, something may be tired, overwhelmed or quietly asking for attention.

Perhaps you do not need another thing to accomplish.

Perhaps you need a space to stop.

The Pause We Keep Postponing is a gentle, live online experience that gives you time to breathe, reflect and honestly check in with yourself.

You do not need to arrive with the right words. You do not need to explain everything. You simply need to come as you are.

What To Expect

A gentle guided space to pause.

During this 90-minute experience, you will be gently guided through moments of stillness, short teaching, private reflection and optional sharing.

You will have space to notice what you have been carrying, listen to what you may need and identify one gentle next step.

You decide how you participate. You will never be pressured to speak, turn on your camera or share anything personal.

Who It Is For

This experience may be for you if:

• You have been carrying a lot quietly.

• You regularly check on everyone else but rarely pause to check in with yourself.

• You keep functioning even when you do not feel completely okay.

• You have been navigating change, responsibility, illness, grief, caregiving, burnout or another demanding season.

• You want time to reflect without pressure, judgement or unsolicited advice.

You do not need a diagnosis, a dramatic story or polished words to participate.

Meet Your Facilitator

Hi, I am Deanna Fontaine, founder of Held & Growing.

I created Held & Growing because I believe people need spaces where they do not have to perform “fine.”

Drawing from my background in Behavioural Sciences, my lived experience and my compassionate approach to listening, I create thoughtful spaces where people can pause, reflect and be honest about what they are carrying.

During The Pause, my role is to guide the experience gently, protect your freedom to choose how you participate and help you listen to yourself with greater compassion.

My work is grounded in a simple belief: Not everything needs fixing. Some things need space.
